When your landscaper really partners with you, you’ll get a beautiful landscape project you’re thrilled with, whether it be design, installation or maintenance.

So that’s why it’s so significant that homeowners say the Sonoma County landscaper Gardenworks Inc. in Healdsburg CA is the landscape firm that shares their goals, has a unified team and even partners with the community.

Gardenworks, Inc. and You: A Professional Partnership

From the beginning, Gardenworks, Inc. forms a professional partnership with clients to ensure they get the design that makes them happy and is within their budget. Gardenworks, Inc. owner Jay Tripathi explains, "Our very first meeting is a chance for us to really listen to our clients and see the site. That way, we make sure we’re a good fit."

Why is the teamwork approach at Gardenworks so important? Jay Tripathi explains, "Clients find it refreshing that we are open and honest and really take the time to get into the specifics of their plans with them." This is part of why clients of Gardenworks, Inc. have stayed clients since the company was founded over 30 years ago. Many have re-hired Jay Tripathi and his crews for multiple projects throughout the years.

Because they’re in such high demand throughout Sonoma County, Jay Tripathi says Gardenworks, Inc. has made Sonoma County and northern Napa County their focus. "We’re better able to form relationships with our clients and meet their needs if we’re located close to their homes. That’s why we try to stay within a 45 minute radius of our office."

And according to clients, the value of the partnership doesn’t end when the landscape design and installation are over. We spoke with a client named Peggy, who hired Gardenworks, Inc. to design, build and maintain her yards. She raved, "We’ve been very pleased with Gardenworks. They’re very professional, cost-conscious and do great quality work. And they’re even willing to walk through our yard with us yearly to find ways that they can help us maintain our investment."

A Team Approach to Landscaping by Gardenworks, Inc.

And clients say they get benefits, both immediate and long term, from partnering with Gardenworks, Inc. because it’s the landscaping company with professional crews who work as a team. And those crews are made up of career-minded professionals, from those who hold degrees in horticulture and landscape architecture to company-wide involvement in trade associations, certification programs and continuing education.

This ensures that even complicated projects are done right. Jay Tripathi explains, "Because we’re experts in everything from soils, retaining walls, grading, water features, decks, arbors, trellises and lighting, we’re able to tie all those elements together to create beautiful gardens."

In fact, Jay tells us the Gardenworks, Inc. team tackles any kind of project. He affirms, "We’re a great team. We know how to problem solve and find a way to build whatever our clients need to make their dreams a reality."

During a research phone call for this article, a client named Susan said she was thrilled with how organized and professional the Gardenworks team is. "We’ve been fabulously pleased with them. They are excellent at infrastructure planning, including drainage and grading, and they are very good at plant selection and placement. They’ve worked with us on all points and talked us through the entire process."

Jay says this team effort is so important because his company isn’t just planting a garden for today, they’re leaving a beautiful space for future generations. "I love the idea of creating a garden and going back years later. Trees and shrubs and hardscape blend together over time and become even more beautiful. It’s amazing to stand back and look at projects our company did more than 20 years ago and know that these projects will last beyond us. It’s powerful."

Partnering with the Community in Sonoma County & Healdsburg CA

Gardenworks, Inc. is also known for partnering with Sonoma County communities. Throughout the years, they’ve done many pro bono projects for causes including the Boy Scouts, the local skate park and playing field, and Habitat for Humanity. Jay Tripathi is on the Healdsburg Parks and Recreation Commission, is past president of the Healdsburg Youth Soccer League and coached soccer teams while his children were growing up. Jay explained that his employees and their company as a whole are dedicated to giving back.

"We live in the community that raises and educates our children," he says. "Our company takes pride and offers things that might not get done because funds aren’t always available. It makes us feel great personally and professionally to give back to a community that’s so deserving."

So it’s clear why clients say that Sonoma County landscaping firm Gardenworks, Inc. in Healdsburg CA is the one that gives value through partnership. Perhaps landscape architect Kate said it best when she shared, "Gardenworks is a real team player when it comes to getting designs built. We really appreciate working with contractors who ask great questions and truly understand the importance of keeping the design intact with every detail. They are extremely reliable and a pleasure to work with!"

Gardenworks announces expert-level water managers

HEALDSBURG, CA—Gardenworks Inc., a local landscape and design contractor, is pleased to announce that owners Jay Tripathi and Peter Estournes have just completed the California Landscape Contractors Association’s (CLCA’s) rigorous one year Water Management Certification Program to become CLCA’s first Expert Level Water Managers in Sonoma County.

Introduced in 2007, CLCA’s Water Manager Certification Program is intended to educate today’s Green Industry professionals in meeting the need to landscape water usage. There are two levels of certification: full certification and expert certification. To achieve expert certification, both Tripathi and Estournes were required to pass a written test and manage five properties at or below the water budget established by the Water Management Performance Program for one year. To achieve Full Certification, management of one property is required. To maintain certification, they will continue to oversee five properties under the same criteria on an ongoing basis.

With California facing a possible fouth year of drought, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s calling for a 20% reduction per capita in urban water use by 2020, both Water Managers have stepped up to the challenge and emerged as local industry leaders in water management and conservation.

Gardenworks Inc. has been serving Sonoma County since 1977 and specializes in water conserving landscape design, installation and maintenance for residential and commercial property managers and owners. For more information, visit GardenWorks-Inc.com or CLCA.us/water/mgrs.html.
